Once you tell us what services your nonprofit is seeking, our staff will help you create a detailed job description and recommended budget for your project. We then share the listing with our pool of verified contractors and complete the first round of follow up before providing up to three "best fit" candidate recommendations. Because we are all long-time contractors ourselves with extensive nonprofit experience, we can also offer helpful insight into the considerations for hiring. Once a candidate is interviewed and selected, you will work directly with them and they will invoice you for their services. Good Cause Creative will remain in touch to ensure you are both satisfied with the project outcome. Once a project is assigned, Good Cause Creative invoices 10-15% of the total project budget to our non-profit clients, depending on scope and timeline.
Before Trialogue, no freelance/contractor placement website existed that was designed to serve non-profits exclusively. Because Good Cause Creative has always served the non-profit community, we understand the level of trust that underscores business relationships and successful projects in this sector. Often, our clients ask us for help to hire other contractors because they don't always know what they need or how much it should cost. That personal connection is what separates Good Cause Creative and the Trialogue program from other more transactional freelance job search platforms.
As experienced contractors dedicated to serving nonprofits, we understand the challenges in finding opportunities and are committed to making this service as affordable as possible, deducting our fees from the total project budget. For example, if your total project budget is $1000, then that is all you will pay. Our contractors have agreed to invoice and complete the work for that amount, less a 15% fee for our job placement services. In the previous scenario, the contractor agrees to complete the work and invoice you directly for a price between $850-900, depending on the terms and length of your contract.
Yes! We are eager for you to have the help you need. And we are happy to work out agreements based on your specific needs. The only difference between one-time-only projects and ongoing work would be the terms of your placement contract. For ongoing projects, we request a fee-for-service based on the first 90 days of work, at a slightly lower rate. We also ask that you and the independent contractor continue to be up front about any future work needs or the intention to hire someone directly after the initial agreement is complete.
Upon launch, we have qualified and approved contractors in the areas of fundraising, board development, event planning, administrative support, web development, video production and editing, SEO, communications, strategic planning, impact measurement, executive leadership coaching, and more. We are constantly forming new relationships and expanding our independent network to take the guess work out of the hiring process for you. We do our best to provide insight and guidance so that all projects are priced fairly and affordably. We respect the talents and expertise of our professional contractors and the budgets of our nonprofit clients. Once a budget is set, contractors agree to those rates, so negotiation should be avoided. Payment to Good Cause Creative is based on a small percentage of the total project budget.
While we do our best to vet, verify and carefully match all of our independent contractors with projects in which they can be successful there is also an element of "connection" that needs to happen in this type of work. Sometimes it's not a good fit or things don't work out for one reason or another. If that happens, please get in touch with us. We will be happy to follow up with referrals for another independent contractor based on the original project scope and terms.
